Remote Collar Strap Options

Good Communication Begins with a Good Fit.

It’s imperative to get a snug fit with your remote collar strap so that the stimulation is consistent and contact with the skin is not lost. If the fit is too loose, contact can be lost and your dog may only feel the stimulation from time to time which can cause confusion. Or worse, be startled by the stimulation when they do feel it.

To prevent errors in fit we have different collar strap options to help with your dog’s size and/or length of their coat. Some of the options are also a good alternative for people with arthritis or other hand issues. While the plastic strap that comes with your remote collar is a good option, it is stiff and doesn’t allow for expanding/contracting of the neck if worn throughout the day.

The nylon collar strap is a good option for comfort plus gives a constant fit. We like this type of strap for client dogs with short to medium length coats. It provides a snug fit without the stiffness of the plastic strap.

This is a biothane collar strap with a bungee cord added for stretch. It’s just like the collar strap that comes with most remote training collars but with the addition of the bungee. This collar strap is great for dogs of any length of coat and provides a snug yet stretchable fit.

This is also a biothane collar strap but the bungee part is the cords that are pulled taught to get a good fit. It needs to be sized to fit over the dog’s head so there is extra cord that hangs free. If you don’t mind the antenna like cords dangling from your dog’s collar, this is the best strap for comfort, ease of fitting, and a continual snug fit. Best option for long hair dogs but comfortable for all coats.
