FAQ Page

What training tools and techniques do you use?

We use a wide variety of tools in our dog training programs. Our favorite is the Remote Training Collar, also known as an Ecollar. This electronic collar lets us teach and guide the dogs to off leash reliability around distractions. Along with the Ecollar we use either a prong collar, head halter, or transitional leash to teach the dogs how to give into the leash and focus on us.

We believe in using what works for each individual dog and are well schooled in many techniques to bring about the best results for your dog. Some of these are Pressure and Release, Shaping, Targeting, Conditioned Relaxation, and the Koehler Method of dog training.

What is a Board and Train Camp?

For either 10 or 20 days your dog boards with us at our facility. Your dog receives daily training, free time, and potty breaks.

How much training will my receive during their stay?

Your dog will work with one of our trainers for 40 to 60 minutes twice a day. Plus, we believe every interaction we have with your dog is a training moment. From coming out of the crate for a potty break to coming back in and resting quietly in their crate, each moment teaches your dog appropriate behavior.

Where will my dog sleep during its stay?

All dogs are crated in spacious kennels in our dog room within our facility.

At what age can my dog begin a Board and Train Camp?

Dogs need to be at least 12 weeks to sign up for any of our Private or Board and train programs.

Can I get updates on my dog’s progress?

Yes, you are welcome to call or email for updates. We also provide pictures and updates on our Facebook page.

Do you teach me what my dog has learned?

Yes we do. You will have an hour long lesson with one of our trainers at the end of your dogs stay. We will go over everything your dog has learned and make sure you understand the training and how to implement the commands at home. You will also receive written instructions to take home and you are welcome to video the lesson for future reference.

Do you offer continuing support to the training?

Each Board and Train camp comes with 3 free Private follow ups at our facility if/when you need them. We also have helpful videos on youtube and our Blog to refresh your training.

What does the cost of the Board and Train cover?

It covers the boarding during your dogs stay, the Ecollar and any other training equipment we feel will make the training go smoother for you and your dog.

Do you offer financing for your programs?

We take all major credit cards and offer Paypal Credit.
